Current position: Cara + Lila does not currently use analytics, advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies on this website. The site uses one piece of necessary browser storage to remember that a visitor has dismissed the privacy notice.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, scripts, tags and other mechanisms that store information on or access information from your device. UK privacy rules can apply to these technologies too.
2. What we use on Cara + Lila
Necessary browser storage — privacy notice preference
We use a local browser storage entry named cara_lila_essential_notice_seen_v1 to remember that you have dismissed our privacy notice so it does not keep appearing on every page load.
This storage does not contain your name, email address or a profile about you. We do not use it for advertising or behavioural tracking.
3. What we do not currently use
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, behavioural profiling cookies or other optional analytics/tracking technologies on this website.
Social and product links point to third-party services. Those services may set their own cookies or use other tracking technologies after you leave our site or interact with their platform. Their own policies then apply.
4. Optional cookies in the future
If we introduce optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies, we will update this policy and implement a consent mechanism before setting those technologies where consent is required by law. You will be able to refuse optional technologies without being blocked from using the core site.
5. Managing storage
You can normally delete or block stored data through your browser settings. Because our current site does not depend on optional cookies, blocking non-essential storage should not prevent the main pages from working. Deleting the local storage entry may cause the privacy notice to appear again.
6. Legal basis and guidance
Rules on cookies and similar storage/access technologies are governed primarily by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), alongside UK data protection law where personal data is involved. We design this site to request consent before using optional online tracking where consent is required.
